Zaine+ (在呢+, "Zài Ne+" — meaning "I'm here") is a personal safety companion app for people who live alone. Its purpose is simple: let the people who care about you know that you are safe. This policy explains what data the app handles and how it is used. We follow Apple's App Store privacy requirements and applicable laws (including China's PIPL).

1. Data We Collect

Zaine+ only collects data that is necessary to deliver its safety features. The table below reflects what the app actually accesses in version 1.91.0:

2. How Data Is Used

Safety confirmations & reminders: The app can remind you to confirm you are safe at scheduled times, and records each confirmation.
Guardian circle: Contacts you designate receive alerts (help requests, fall events, missed confirmations) and, with your permission, your shared location.
Health overview: HealthKit data is read with your permission to show wellness trends. It is reference information only and is not a medical diagnosis.
Apple Watch companion: If you have an Apple Watch, the companion app displays your check-in status, health summary, and guardian info on your wrist (including Complications). It does not collect health data on its own.

3. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. Location, health, and fall data are shared only with the specific guardians you choose, and only when a feature you enabled requires it (e.g., you start location sharing, trigger a help request, or a fall is detected). Push notifications to guardians are sent through our backend solely to deliver your safety alerts.

4. Data Storage & Security

Account and check-in data are stored on our secured servers (Alibaba Cloud).
Health data from Apple HealthKit stays on your device unless you choose to show it to a guardian.
We use encryption in transit (HTTPS) and access controls to protect your data.

5. Your Rights & Controls

You can revoke HealthKit, location, or notification permissions at any time in iOS Settings.
You can remove a guardian at any time; doing so stops all future alerts to them.
You can delete your account and associated data from the app's Settings → Account.

6. Children

Zaine+ is rated 4+ and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children without parental consent.
