Zaine+ (在呢+, "Zài Ne+" — meaning "I'm here") is a personal safety companion app for people who live alone. Its purpose is simple: let the people who care about you know that you are safe. This policy explains what data the app handles and how it is used. We follow Apple's App Store privacy requirements and applicable laws (including China's PIPL).
Zaine+ only collects data that is necessary to deliver its safety features. The table below reflects what the app actually accesses in version 1.91.0:
| Data type | Used for | Shared with |
|---|---|---|
| Location Precise location | Live location sharing with your guardians; recording your daily travel path so loved ones know you are moving safely. | Only the guardians you explicitly choose. |
| Health Heart rate, blood oxygen, sleep, menstrual cycle (via Apple HealthKit) | Show your wellness overview and optional AI health trends. Not used for medical diagnosis. | Never shared automatically. Only shown on your device and optionally to guardians you approve. |
| Motion Accelerometer / fall detection | Detect hard falls; after your confirmation, notify your chosen guardians with your location. | Your chosen guardians (only after you confirm a detected fall). |
| Contacts Guardian phone numbers & names | Send help alerts and safety confirmations. | Used only to reach those contacts. |
| Usage Check-in records, streaks, settings | Display your safety history and statistics. | Stored on your account; not sold. |
We do not sell your personal data. Location, health, and fall data are shared only with the specific guardians you choose, and only when a feature you enabled requires it (e.g., you start location sharing, trigger a help request, or a fall is detected). Push notifications to guardians are sent through our backend solely to deliver your safety alerts.
Zaine+ is rated 4+ and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children without parental consent.
